Param Shradhey Shri Radhe Maa - Amrut leela - A friend in need

Shri Radhe Maa

By Sanjeev Gupta

Shri Radhe Maa
Vishal Sareen’s (Mintu) story:  I had settled happily in Australia after I got married. Life was good except for three regrets. I missed India. I missed loved ones back home and I missed Devi Maa. I requested Devi Maa to bless us with a visit to Australia. She promised me she would come. This was in 2007. I had just been in Australia for a year.

In 2008, just a year after she made the promise, Devi Maa came to Australia and stayed for two weeks. Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maa’s leelas continued in Australia. I re-established contact with an Indian friend with whom I had lost touch for the last few years. He had moved to New Zealand and was now a citizen. He moved to Australia a short while after I moved to that country myself. Despite having moved before me, he was struggling to make ends meet. He had a degree in logistics but that had not done him any good. He was forced to drive a taxi to manage his family that comprised of his wife and son. I asked him to pray sincerely to Devi Maa who always rewards those who believe in Her and wait patiently for her blessings.

I invited my friend to Devi Maa’s chowki in the house of another devotee in Australia. I prayed to Maa and asked her to help my friend.  I asked her to make me a channel of her grace. I told my friend that he could stay with me till he found a house on rent, which is a big deal in Australia. More so, if you are an Indian with a New Zealand passport and have no income. A few days after the chowki, which my friend attended, as we stepped out of a friend’s home to drive home, a man called out to us. He was an Indian from Fiji. He told us that he called because he thought we looked Indian. He wanted to rent out a house he owned. Would we know of someone who was interested?

So, my friend had his house on the very night of the jagran. A fortnight later he landed a job that appeared to be made just for him. A few months later, his wife joined him with their son. Devi Maa honoured my request. The friend is a staunch devotee of Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maa today.

Shri Radhe Maa - Doing business in Australia

By Sanjeev Gupta

Vishal Sareen’s (Mintu) story: I was always clear about two things in life. One, I wanted to create a life for myself in Australia. Two, I wanted to start and manage a business of my own. When I expressed my desires to Devi Maa, she smiled and said that both my dreams would come true in time. She also assured me that it would all happen without much effort on my part. It was a test of my faith in Devi Maa. She always emphasizes the power of saburi or patience and deep faith or shraddha.

I knew that Devi Maa’s words would not go in vain. However, I was young and impatient and wanted things to move fast. Devi Maa merely smiled at my impatience and advised that I wait. Things would move in a favourable direction, she assured me.

I completed my post-graduation in computer science. My elder brother was already a computer hardware and networking engineer. Together, we started a small computer training institute in Punjab. Life was moving on just fine but I kept wondering when Devi Maa’s words would come true. I was steadily deepening my knowledge of computer parts and peripherals. Choti Maa, Devi Maa closest sevadar and my elder sister, called to tell me that Devi Maa wanted me to enroll for certificate courses in LINUX, MCSE and CCNA. I told my sister that I did not see the point. I was already a post-graduate. However, this was coming from Devi Maa. So, there was no way I was going to ignore it.

In 2007, my family arranged my marriage. My bride was Indian but her family had settled in Australia. We got married and getting a citizenship was not a problem at all.

I managed to find a job shortly after I landed in Australia thanks to the certificate courses that Devi Maa had asked me complete. After working for some time, I decided to branch out on my own. My brother joined me and together we started our business RM Electronics. My brother and I live together in the same house. People wonder how we manage to do in this age of nuclear families. I can say with conviction that it is our devotion to Devi Maa that has made it all possible. I have found a soul mate, founded a successful business and created a life for myself in Australia thanks to Shri Radhe Maa’s grace.

Whenever there is a chowki in India, the audio visual is streamed live across the world on the Internet. On such days, our entire family watches the chowki online. We also ensure that every new purchase in our house is offered to Devi Maa before it is put to our use. Even the children in the house know how it is done. We are blessed to have such a loving mother. Jai Mata Di.

Param Shradhey Shri Radhe Maa - A promise is a promise

I will never abandon you.
- Shri Radhe Maa

By Sanjeev Gupta

Vishal Sareen’s (Mintu) story: Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maa promised me in the winter of 2001 that she would visit our house on Diwali. Devi Maa tests our faith. She also expects us to be patient. I had asked her to bless our home in Mukerian, Punjab, with her charan and she had graciously agreed. Diwali being a special day for Hindus and Sikhs, Devi Maa’s devotees make it a point to seek her blessings. Devotees maintain that seeking her blessings on the day ensures prosperity, peace and health through the year.
Not surprisingly, on Diwali, the clock kept ticking and yet Devi Maa did not come. I however did not want to abandon my faith in her words. We had decorated a room so it was transformed into her gufa. Our bed was to be her aasan or throne where she was to give darshan. We waited with a sinking feeling, expecting her to would turn up any moment. At around 1 am, I told my mother that it was time to retire. However, I thought that it was appropriate that we would sleep on the floor that night. Devi Maa’s aasan would be left undisturbed. It did not feel right to disturb it.
The night was very cold and the blankets warm. I slept soundly. Sometime into the night, I was awakened by Devi Maa’s voice, “Mintu, you are sleeping soundly and you have not spread the blanket for me.” I thought I was imagining it. The voice rang out in the darkness once again. “Get up, spread the blanket. It is very cold.”

I woke up and looked at the aasan. It was undisturbed. I spread the blanket that had been kept over it. The clarity in Devi Maa’s voice was still with me. The hair on my hands stood at end. She had indeed visited. I had been given fresh proof that Devi Maa always keeps her word. With her, a promise is a promise.

Shri Radhe Maa - What Maa gave me

By Sanjeev Gupta

Rita Purohit’s story: Mamtamai Shree Radhe Maa channels her grace mainly through sight or drishti during her darshan. She is an ansh avatar of Maa Sherawaali Durga who has no selfish desires save the welfare of her devotees. Her door is a divine hospital where the worse of afflictions are cured. Her energy is gentle, full of light and radiant with love. Her grace has fulfilled all my desires. She has given me much more than I deserve. She is am embodiment of maternal love. She does not ask anything of anyone. She does not demand worship or service. She does not ask people to abandon beliefs, philosophies and old ways of worship. Whatever she says comes to pass. She rarely speaks on her own. All specific queries made by devotees are directed to Choti Maa, her closest attendant, who communicates Shri Maa’s will to her devotees. In the nine years I have known her, my health has improved, my financial issues have been sorted out, my family has grown to be supportive and there is a deep sense of contentment in life. I do not fear death anymore because I know Shri Maa will guide me in the hereafter as well. My only prayer now is that I do not commit a sin so grave that it attracts Devi Maa’s displeasure.

Jagran - Sangat
The ninth edition of Mumbai’s biggest ‘off-season’ jagran came to a close on Saturday at the Film City in Goregaon with over three lakh devotees of Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maacongregating  for the event. The Ma Jagdambe Jagran, which was held on the day of Shri Radhe Maa’s birthday, saw musical performances by several notable performers including four-time Filmfare winner Anuradha Paudwal, Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari, Padmashri Anup Jalota, music director Sanjeev Kohli, bhajan samrat Vinod Agarwal, and Punjabi singer Arvinder Singh.

Devotees from across the world cheered, clapped and danced with joy as Shri Radhe Maa made her grand entry from the sky on a cubicle decorated with flowers. The cubicle, her aasan, was lowered onstage with the help of a crane.

Devotees arrived at the jagran from all parts of the country and the world. Seating arrangements for 20,000 and standing space for 1 lakh devotees had been made for the jagran. However, the number of attendees the event attracted were way beyond the expectations of the organisers and the band of 200 volunteers managing the event. Devotees, rich and poor, saw the jagran as a day of thanks-giving. “I sing for a living but I come at Devi Maa’s door several times a year even when there are no performances. Her doorstep is a place of miraculous blessings. Nothing I say can convey her powers. It is a thing to be experienced,” said iconic Punjabi folk singer Sardool Sikander, who also performed at the venue.

All devotees were treated to a langar dinner at the jagran by the volunteers guided by Manmohan Gupta, a devotee of Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maa.

Param Shradhey Shri Radhe Maa - Home of my dreams

By Sanjeev Gupta

Rita Purohit’s story: Eight years ago, I was hunting for a flat in South Mumbai with a budget that was not even one-fourth of the going market rate. Not surprisingly the search proved to be fruitless initially. When I shared my problem with Devi Maa, she declared firmly, “I will not only help you get a house of your choice, it will be a house within your budget.”

Once those words were out of Devi Maa’s mouth, things changed for us. The properties we were shown by estate agents after she reassured us had a positive air about them. Her words came to pass; they always do. There are times when she also gives bad news but that too is taken care of if one prays earnestly to her. I can say from my experience and from the experience of others who have surrendered to her that she is a mother who never fails her children. Once a devotee surrenders, he or she becomes her responsibility.
