Shri Radhe Maa - Leela-Amrut -Leela in Australia

Shri Radhe Maa - Vachan Amrut
Legal notice that holds terrible consequences gets inexplicably cancelled

By Sanjeev Gupta

Tejinder Pal Singh (38) runs a successful security business in Australia. He has been a devotee of Devi Maa since he had his first darshan at a chowki in Panipat in 2003. He says that he is a changed man since he became a part of Devi Maa’s sangat. Says Tejinder, “I was always an industrious person. Before I became a devotee, I would not think twice before extending my 12-hour workday to 18 hours if there were a few more dollars to be made in the bargain. I have stopped doing that because with Devi Maa’s grace I understand today that money is not everything. Moreover, I have handed over my business as well as my blood pressure to Devi Maa. She unfailingly ensures that I always have enough.

“Last year, I was issued a ‘garnishee’ notice for recovery of debt by the Australian tax authorities. The notice caught me unawares and gave me very little time to respond. This is a rather serious issue in Australia because the bank freezes the account of the person who is served such a notice till the debt is settled. In Australia, people do not have multiple bank accounts like they do in India. One has to pay the bank to keep one’s money, so it makes sense to have a single or as few accounts as possible. I was worried because I did not know how I would manage my household and business expenses.

Shri Radhe Maa
“I prayed to Devi Maa through Choti Maa and was assured that the matter would be resolved. I called the bank they said they had not received any notice from the tax office while the tax office insisted that they had dispatched it to the bank a while back. This was rather unusual. Garnishee notices are sent through registered post and have a reputation for unerringly finding their mark. However, I kept checking with the bank as well as tax authorities for some days, and it appeared that the notice had disappeared into thin air.

A few days later, I called the tax authorities, who told me that they had concluded that the garnishee notice was not called for, and they were therefore withdrawing it. To this day, I have no clue what happened to the notice, and no one I have spoken to at the bank or the tax office has any idea. Devi Maa’s grace works in special ways and knows no limitations of time, place and geographical boundary. All we need to do is believe.”

Shri Radhe Maa - Leela-Amrut -Devi Maa averts wedding crisis

Shri Radhe Maa - Vachan Amrut
By Sanjeev Gupta

Kajal Anand’s story: We worried incessantly as our daughter’s wedding day approached. We did not know where the money for the catering, the hall and the bridal finery would come from. My business had been suffering for some time. We had exhausted all our savings and had also incurred debts. The wedding invitations had been dispatched. Needless to say, my daughter’s happiness, our reputation in society and our standing in our extended family were all at stake. It was with a heavy heart that I went to Devi Maa’s bhavan with my daughter for darshan a few days before the wedding.

As we were ushered to Devi Maa’s gufaa, she beckoned my daughter closer and handed her a gift – Devi Maa’s beautiful chola. It was a dress fit for a bride complete in every way except for the chuda-bangles that Punjabi brides wear on both wrists on the big day.
No one had told her and yet Devi Maa knew!

We considered Devi Maa’s gift as a positive omen. It was reassuring. However, as the big day approached, the situation deteriorated even further. People who owed us money backed out. Those we approached for a loan refused because they knew we did not possess the means to repay them. On wedding day, as guests began walking in, the caterer threatened to walk out unless we paid an advance. He would not buy supplies unless we did so.

Shri Radhe Maa
We prayed to Devi Maa.
Her response was instantaneous. A person who had refused us money earlier called to tell us we could collect the money. Relatives voluntarily chipped in. By the end of the day, we had a fantastic wedding. All through the event, I fell Devi Maa’s wonderful positivity guiding us through.

To this day, there are people who refuse to believe that we managed to give the wedding we did to our daughter with hardly any money in our pockets. After the wedding, our family with our now wedded daughter queued up for Devi Maa’s darshan. As we waited for our turn, my daughter asked me a question. How come Devi Maa had gifted her all her bridal finery except for chuda-bangles?

That day, as we stepped into Devi Maa’s gufaa, she looked at my daughter and smiled. My daughter approached Devi Maa, her hands folded. As my daughter came closer, Devi Maa took off the chuda-bangles on her hands and handed them to my daughter.
There is nothing Devi Maa does not know!

Shri Radhe Maa - Leela-Amrut - Trial through fire

Shri Radhe Maa - Vachan Amrut

By Sanjeev Gupta

Have faith in God. He will protect you from all troubles.

Kajal Anand’s Story: Businesswoman and homemaker Kajal Anand lives in Mumbai with her family. She  runs a organic beauty aid business with a dedicated clientele and has a supportive family. There was however a time when things were not as well. Her business was not doing too well and making routine payments became difficult. As she was unable to pay her car loan installments, the bank served her a confiscation notice and warned her that the car would be taken away if the payments were not made soon. The situation deteriorated to a point where the family decided to sell their home. The Anands have been devotees of Devi Maa for years now, so they faced every day with fortitude with a prayer to Devi Maa on their lips.

Kajal felt that her faith was being tested. She did not want to fail Devi Maa. No matter how harsh the conditions became, Kajal was convinced that the times would change for the good. She remembered Devi Maa’s constant emphasis on shraddha (deep faith) and saburi (patience) in the face of life’s challenges. Kajal knew that times change. What should remain constant is one’s faith in one’s ishta.

Shri Radhe Maa

One day, Choti Maa, Devi Maa’s closest sevadar, called Kajal, and told her that Devi Maa had taken notice of all of her problems. Devi Maa’s orders were to go ahead with the planned sale of her flat. Kajal had shared neither her problems nor her plans to sell her flat with Devi Maa or Choti Maa but had been long enough in Devi Maa’s service know that everything is possible in her darbar.

After that call from Choti Maa, life started becoming more pleasant for the Anands. The Anands got a great offer for their flat. They shifted to a new house and managed to clear most of the loans that had been dogging the family.

Kajal’s business picked up and the family found peace as well as happiness that had eluded them for so long. “I credit Devi Maa’s grace for all that is good and beautiful in my life. What I have learnt is that success is not far from the person who surrenders with complete faith to God.”

Kajal learnt that the prayers of those that keep their faith in the face of adversity and do not cease to serve their ishta in bad times are always answered.

Shri Radhe Maa - Leela-Amrut - Three frauds and an honest devotee

Shri Radhe Maa - Vachan Amrut

How an honest banker was pulled from the quicksand of disaster by Devi Maa’s grace

By Sanjeev Gupta

Madhukar Nayar’s story: Madhukar Nayar started his career as a peon in a bank. Over the years, thanks to his honesty and hard work he rose to become assistant branch manager. His colleagues, friends and relatives looked up to him as a model of honesty and good conduct. He was well-respected by one and all.
Then, tragedy struck.

A Rs 2.7 million scam came to light at the bank. The enquiry committee that was formed to probe the fraud cast a shadow of doubt on Madhukar. The man had not imagined that the reputation he had built with care in his 33 years would be tarnished in a single stroke. After he was suspended, Madhukar sensed that people were saying all kinds of things behind his back. His friends and relatives began to distance themselves from him. He had health issues earlier, which worsened with the sad turn of events in his life.

Shri Radhe Maa

At this stage, Madhukar learnt about Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maa’s darbar. He paid his respects at one chowki and then another. On the day that followed the seventh chowki, the scam was exposed for what it was. The culprits – a cashier, a clerk and a customer – were arrested. All three admitted to their guilt. The cloud of suspicion that had hung over Madhukar Nayar cleared. It became clear to all that he had suffered for no fault of his. The bank sent him an apology letter and asked him to resume duty not as assistant bank manager but as bank manager. He had been promoted.

Devi Maa’s leela taught Madhukar an important lesson in the power of unquestioning surrender and seva.

Shri Radhe Maa - Leela-Amrut - Devi Maa and the magical dinner

Shri Radhe Maa - Vachan Amrut
How a meal for 25 turned into a feast for 60

By Sanjeev Gupta

Monika Mour’s story: After I got married, my joint family of 40 was invited by my in-laws for the customary first meal. The combined list of people who met on that day was around sixty. We had made arrangements with a caterer accordingly. The guests were told that we would be expecting them by 8pm. In India that would be interpreted as 8.45 pm but that was not the case on the day. Guests began to pour in by 8. That had us worried because the caterer was late. When he came in we learnt that he had food for just 25 people. We were terribly upset with him but there was little he could do at such short notice. A few minutes later, my entire family maternal as well as marital had gathered in my new house full strength.

I did not want the situation to reflect badly on my in-laws and I did not want the evening to be spoilt for my paternal family either. My mother-in-law and I did what devotees always do when they do not have any answers. We prayed to Devi Maa. My mother-in-law tied a mauli (thread) around Devi Maa’s swaroop (image) and prayed for her help.

The dinner began. Everyone had a hearty meal and in the end we realised that there was food left in the serving bowls that had not been refilled through the dinner. There was so much food left over in the kitchen that we had to give much of it away. Sixty people had enjoyed a fest that was meant for 25 and there was still so much left over. We thanked Devi Maa for the timely miracle that averted what could have been a face-losing situation for my new family.

Shri Radhe Maa - Leela-Amrut -Devi Maa and I

Shri Radhe Maa - Vachan Amrut

A devotee’s story how she became Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maa’s sevadar

By Sanjeev Gupta

Monika Mour’s story: My brother Sanjeev was the first in our family to enter Devi Maa’s service. I was a skeptic not easily given to faith when I first heard of Devi Maa from Sanjeev bhaiya in 2003. I had recently graduated from college and was not particularly religious. I was not taken at all by his talk about Devi Maa. He would say that Devi Maa was antaryami – she read what was hidden in our hearts. He also said that she could travel in her pawan roop from one place to another. In other words, she would be physically present at one place and would travel magically to other places at the same time. He added that only surrendered devotees had such experiences. I marveled at his devotion.

The first time I had Devi Maa’s darshan was at a chowki in her bhavan. When I saw her for the first time my mind went blank. I had not believed that she was in any way special but I found myself unable to take my eyes off her. Through that chowki, she also kept looking at me. As the chowki came to a close, Devi Maa pulled my cheeks and looked at me. There was deep affection in her eyes. She placed her hands on my head. I was so moved that I began to cry. I heard her voice in my ears. “I will always be there for you,” she said.

In the days that followed I became Devi Maa’s sevadar and was at it for four beautiful years. Devi Maa told me once that she would bless me with a son. This was before my parents began looking for a match for me. She also added that I would be married into a very good family. Both things have come to pass. I was married into a family of devotees of Devi Maa in 2007.

Shri Radhe Maa

On the day of the delivery, as I bore labor pains, I prayed hard to Devi Maa, and immediately felt her strong presence. After my son was born, I heard Devi Maa’s voice ring clear around me as I lay on the hospital bed. “I had told you, you would get a son, did I not?” the voice said. I was not dreaming. The voice was crystal-clear. I could not hold the tears of gratitude streaming down my face. My brother Sanjeev was right. The four years I had served Devi Maa had not been in vain. Devi Maa was with me even when she was not present physically in that hospital. In response to my prayers, she had guided me through a difficult time.
