Shri Radhe maa - LeelaAmrut - A bank guarantee gone wrong

How Devi Maa helped her devotee who was betrayed by a trusted friend

By Purshottam Kohli

I grew up in a spiritual environment, which made me a God-fearing man. My wife and children are also spiritually inclined. Eleven years ago, in 2001, our neighbor, who had also become a good family friend over the years, took a big loan. When he said that the bank required a guarantor, we agreed to help, and my son became guarantor for the loan. He had not given us any reason to suspect his character. However, a few days after he took the loan, our neighbor fled the city. A few months later, the bank's officers approached us and asked our son to clear our neighbor’s dues. We realized that we had been betrayed. We asked the bank's officers why they would not confiscate his house and clear the amount due. The officers informed us that real estate rates had fallen and there was no way they could recover their outstanding by selling the flat. We were the guarantors. We had to pay up.

We panicked.

We had extended a helping hand to a friend and what a heavy price we were being made to pay for it. We moved the court for relief. The case dragged on for six-years without any result. The bank kept revising the outstanding by adding the burden of interest to the principal outstanding. The frequent trips to the court along taxed us heavily. It left us tired, and drained and also burnt a hole in our pockets.
The turn of events left the entire family stressed. I prayed to God and was beginning to despair because there appeared to be no end in sight. The amount in question was too large for us to pay. We feared not just monetary loss but the loss of face.
Around that time, I came in Devi Maa's sharan. She was our last hope. We prayed to her to relieve us of our burden.

There was a chowki at Radhe Maa Bhavan on the night of 22nd November that year. I went for Devi Maa’s darshan with the burden of my woes on my heart. Sometime in the evening, the dam of my patience collapsed. I wept bitterly. I began to pray to Devi Maa in my mind. I petitioned her for help as I walked into her gufaa. She was watching me. As I prayed, she glanced at me with her caring and motherly eyes.  She conveyed through her gestures that I should leave everything to her. She would do what was required. I should not worry, her eyes told me. I felt a flood of relief wash over me. I was convinced that she would find a way out.
Two days later, a bank official came to visit us. He simply handed me all our confiscated documents and papers and apologised for the trouble his company had caused us. He told me that the bank had managed to get a fair value for the mortgaged flat, and had decided to forfeit the loan amount. I did not owe the bank a single paisa.

I realised the power of faith in Devi Maa and thanked her for her grace. Nothing is impossible for the devotee who believes in Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maa. Everything changes once one believes.

I owe my life to Devi Maa.

Shri Radhe Maa - Leela-Amrut- How Devi Maa saved little Annie

Shri Radhe Maa - Leela-Amrut- How Devi Maa saved little Annie

How can I abandon the one who calls me mother?
- Shri Radhe Maa

By Rita Chana

What follows is the story of the biggest miracle that Devi Maa has wrought in my life – my daughter Annie.

Annie was born on 13 weeks premature on 15th September 2011.
She weighed just 750 grams – the weight of a box of mithai. Annie had lots of problems but she weathered them all thanks to Devi Maa’s blessings. When she was born, doctors cautiously advised us to take each day as it came.

My faith in Devi Maa was unwavering; I was sure she would help my little angel tide the trials she was facing. The doctors told us that Annie was bleeding internally in her head.

I prayed to Devi Maa and the bleeding disappeared.  Annie was born before her digestive system could develop fully, and she also had a blockage in her digestive system the doctors told us. All symptoms pointed to that direction. On the day Annie was to be X-Rayed, I prayed to Devi Maa and tied a molee (sacred thread) around her swaroop (picture). I knew that Devi Maa was looking after her. I had full faith in her.

I was steeling myself for the inevitable operation that I expected the doctors to recommend. However, the results of the x-ray shocked everyone, including the doctors when it revealed that she was completely normal. This was when my husband realised how powerful Devi Maa is. He is not religious or even spiritually inclined but after this ordeal, he is convinced that Devi Maa helped Annie at every step. Whenever Annie had any problems, I would quietly pray to Devi Maa and within minutes, Annie would show signs of recovery. Devi Maa blessed our daughter by naming her Annie.

Precious Annie is truly is one of Devi Maa’s little miracles.

I witness an amazing miracle every day. I bought a battery-operated candle this Christmas that came with a five-hour battery. As was to be expected, the battery died after a few hours of use.

However, a few days later for some unfathomable reason, the candle came to life on its own at 17.09 and switched off at 22.15. Since that day, the candle lights up and switches off at exactly the same time.

I treasure my little miracle and believe that it is Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maa’s jyot that gives light to that candle. It makes me feel loved and happy, and reassures me that I am in Devi Maa’s protection.

Param Shradhey Shri Radhe Maa - LeelaAmrut - Do seva, not favours

Shri Radhe Maa

Your bhava is the best bhog for me

Devotees can serve Devi Maa. They can never repay the debt of her love
By Sanjeev Gupta
Shri Radhe Maa
Water flows from a higher level to a lower one. This, in my experience, is also true of Devi Maa’s grace. While humility or deenta is rewarded, those who come to her door intoxicated with the pride of money and fame are often deprived of her grace. It is not that 'Devi Maa' does not love such devotees. It is just they allow their stubborn ways to deprive themselves of Devi Maa’s grace. I know this because I have been similarly foolish in the past. Devi Maa practices tough love. I know that she loves me so much that she does not mind sending a little suffering my way to halt my journey to ruin. The wise one’s learn fast. Devotees who are fated to wait longer for her grace keep repeating the same mistakes.

Shri Radhe Maa
I was reminded of my old foolishness for the umpteenth time during the Maa Jagdambe Jagran on March 3. There were several devotees present at the venue whose lives have changed thanks to Devi Maa’s grace. Not one of them denies this. Some sadly also mention wherever they can how much they have done for Devi Maa. It is as if I am staring at a mirror. I have been there and done that myself and I know it is not a good place for a devotee to be. What can we possibly do for Devi Maa who is the great doer in the lives of all her devotees? We can only express our love and devotion for her. We can never repay the debt her love places on us.

When Devi Maa comes to know of such statements – and there is nothing she does not know – her eyes crinkle in amusement. She laughs like a child.

Shri Radhe Maa - Leela-amrit - When 'Devi Maa' called

Shri Radhe Maa

by Sanjeev Gupta
Shri Radhe Maa

Sardool Sikandar’s story: I was telling my son about Devi Maa’s miracles. He was understandably skeptical. He asked me if Devi Maa would call if he prayed to her in his heart. I told him that she would if the prayer was sincere.

He closed his eyes and prayed. A few seconds later, the phone began to ring. My son stared at the phone in terror. The screen said DeviMaa. I smiled and asked him to take it. He was too stunned to respond. I took the phone. Devi Maa’s voice rang out clearly.

“Kripa karo Devi Maa,” I told her.

“Give the phone to your son,” Devi Maa said.

I handed the phone to my son. He was too shaken to speak. He greeted Devi Maa with a Satsri Akal, a namaskar and Jai Mata Di in a single like.

Shri Radhe Maa
“You wanted to hear my voice?” Devi Maa asked.

“Yes,” my son blurted out.

“How do you find it,” she laughed.

“It is beautiful Devi Maa,” he said.

“Is there anything else that you would like to ask?” she asked.

“When can I have your darshan?” he asked.

“Soon,” she said. “That was not what you had prayed for. Now that you have asked for it, you shall have it,” she said.
