Shri Radhe Maa - Outer appearance and inner worth

Shri Radhe Maa - Shobha Yatra

Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maa’s outer form is the result of the loving
shringar offered to her by devotees as a mark of their bhakti

By Sanjeev Gupta

Some seekers, skeptics and curious bystanders who see Devi Maa's Swaroop in public for the first time raise doubts about her divinity. This is particularly true of people who have not had Devi Maa's Darshan or attended her Chowkis. Some comment on her beauty, others remark on her choice of ornaments, dress and makeup. Devotees except when they are greatly provoked rarely respond to such remarks because they are too busy expressing their gratitude to Devi Maa.

Some such remarks tend to find their way to social media pages maintained by me as part of my seva.

With the news of Devi Maa's Shobha Yatra on 31st March in Punjab becoming public, the same old questions are being asked again. One question in particular keeps popping up at regular intervals: How can someone so richly ornamented be holy? After all, such doubters argue, holiness is inclined to simplicity. Wearing saffron is holy, ash-smeared bodies are holy, so are flowing robes. Holy people give discourses. Devi Maa does not appear to subscribe to any of their prejudices and this tends to get them all worked up.

Shri Radhe Maa
While Devi Maa herself honors’ several men and women who wear saffron, smear ash and give discourses, she is herself attired resplendently when she grants darshan. She teaches us to be respectful of all who have offered their lives for God. The least among them, Devi Maa says, is better than us. However, she herself speaks little and blesses through her all-seeing eyes or Drishti.

As for the shringar, it is my sister, wife, mother and other women in my family who offer shringar on most days to Devi Maa. They believe that the act of offering shringar to Devi Maa protects their husbands and families. My sister says that it is strange that people who love to dress, wear ornaments and look beautiful should force their ideas of holiness on Devi Maa. Why, she asks, should Devi Maa, our Ishta, be treated to any less.

We do not like to see Devi Maa in her Sati aspect but as all-giving Annapurna whose mere glance grants all desires. We are blessed to have such a wonderful mother and we like to express it too. It is her deep love for us that ensures that we do not stray from the path of virtue, prosperity and happiness. As devotees, we in turn, express our love and devotion to Devi Maa by offering shringar. This is a spiritual transaction that brings sweet bliss to the devotee.

Only devotees understand this because they are the ones that know how Devi Maa's grace and the tremendous positivity that surrounds her help them at all times.

I would request all who have questions, queries and doubts to come for Devi Maa’s Darshan because there is no praman (proof) like pratyaksh (manifest) praman. Please give us an opportunity to serve you.
Jai Mata Di.

Shri Radhe Maa - Mother to all

By Sanjeev Gupta

In rendering service to you if I have made any errors, forgive me Mother because one hears of bad sons but never of a bad mother.
Shri Adi Shankaracharya

Shri Radhe Maa
As we busy ourselves with the duties assigned to us for Devi Maa’s Shobha Yatra in Jalandhar on 31st March, we look forward to the big day with joy in our hearts. With the number of devotees increasing over the years, one hopes that one’s seva manages to smoothen their way when they come for Devi Maa’s darshan.

Devi Maa laughs when I express my concerns to her. "Why," she argues, "should devotees interrupt their seva? You do your job. I am a mother and everyone is a son or daughter to me. I am the sun that shines on the dog, the beggar and the king with the same intensity. I do not discriminate."

Devi Maa is looking forward to the visit to Jalandhar. She sees it as an opportunity to serve the presiding deities of Devi Talab Mandir – Maa Kali and Lord Shiva. The two are honoured as Shri Tripuramalini and Lord Bhishan Bhairav in the temple, which is a celebrated Shakti Peeth.

Arjun Sachdeva ‘s story - How my wife concieved after 11 years of marriage

Shri Radhe Maa
I ran a successful bicycle business in Ludhiana, Punjab. I possessesed almost everything a man would wish for. I had a loving family, good health, a flourishing business, and a comfortable bank balance. The only thing that was missing in the happy picture was a child. Eleven years had passed since my marriage but my wife had been unable to concieve. We tried doctors, we did rounds of various temples and dargahs. Nothing worked. I did not worry too much about not having a child for the first few years of marriage. However, with the passage of time, relatives began to talk, and it was painful. My 92-year-old grandmother said she wanted to play with her great grandson before God called her.

The pressure began to get to me. I wanted to be a father too. We renewed our visits to doctors, vaidyas and hakims. When nothing worked we started visiting temples, mosques and churches that had a reputation for solving the problems of people in our situation. I began to wonder if God had decided to ignore our prayers, and I got fed up of looking for a way out.

Shri Radhe Maa
It was when I almost gave up in frustration that Devi Maa 'called' me into her sangat. Someone suggested that I attend Devi Maa’s jagran. To begin with, I was in no mood for any more visits. However, my wife reasoned that there was no harm in doing so.We had been to so many places and had prayed at every door. What, she asked, was the harm in attending the jagran. I saw merit in her words and agreed.

At the jagran, I was as touched by Devi Maa's swaroop as I was by the devotion of the sangat. Many devotees had experienced miracles in their lives. Hope rose in my heart when I heard their stories. I also experienced a profound peace. I decided to attend more chowkies in the days ahead. At the chowkies, I felt the joyful energy that surrounds Devi Maa at all times. I understood what devotees mean when they say Devi Maa has the power to change lives through her drishti. I felt the power in her eyes working in my life.

A few months later my wife concieved.Every member of our family rejoiced when we shared the news with them. A few months later, a son was born to us. This is but one miracle of many that Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maa has worked in my life.
Blessed indeed are we to have such a loving mother.

Jai Mata Di! Jai Shri Radhe Maa!

Shri Radhe Maa - Leela Amrut - Miracle on Day 41

Shri Radhe Maa
I will never abandon you  - Shri Radhe Maa - Vachan Amrut

By Sanjeev Gupta

Shri Radhe Maa
Vishal Sareen’s (Mintu) story: Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maa ordered me to visit Gurudwara Sahib for 41 consecutive days. I did not know why Devi Maa should order me to do so out of the blue but I would not dare to disobey her orders. I knew there had to be a reason. It was just that I did not know it yet. Religiously, for 41 days, I visited the local Gurudwara Sahib in Sydney.

On the 41st day, after I was done paying my respects at the Gurudwara Sahib, I got into my car and began my drive home.  After driving some distance, I decided to change lanes so I could driver faster. As I attempted to turn left, the car that was moving ahead of me, braked to a halt. I had braked and my car had stopped but not before the two cars collided at a speed of over 100 KMPH. I closed my eyes and prayed to Devi Maa in the fraction of the second when I realised that I was about to die.

Then, I opened my eyes.

Both the cars had stopped.

We got out of our cars to examine the damage. I had no injuries beyond a few scratches. Surprisingly, even the driver in the other car was not hurt. A couple of dents were all our cars had suffered.

I realised that I had witnessed a miracle. The advice to pray at the Gurudwara Sahib for 41 days made sense now. Devi Maa had warded off an inevitable disaster and saved my life.

The incident reinforced what I had always believed – Devi Maa is all-knowing. She not only knows the fate that awaits her devotees, she also shows them the way to face hard times with a prayer on their lips.

It was also striking that when Devi Maa saw troubles looming large over me, she did not ask me to offer her worship but directed me to the Gurudwara Sahib, and asked me to pray to God. When I thanked her for the miracle she smiled and said that it was God who accomplished everything, and therefore it was God whom I should thank.
