Forms of Lord Ganesha

Segara Sanur 9th century

 As Vighneshvara, Lord Ganesha is Lord of Obstacles. As Ekadanta, Lord Ganesha is the Single-Tusked One, the Patron of Literature.

As Siddhidata, Lord Ganesha is the Giver of Success associated with bountiful harvests and general abundance in life. 

Dancing Ganesha  (Uttar Pradesh). 9th-10th century.

 Ekadanta is the Conquerer of Moda arrogance.

Panchamukhi Ganesha
 Dhumravarna (smoke colored) overcomes Abhimana, pride;
Indonesia, Central Java, circa 9th century

 Vakratunda (curved trunk) is the Vanquisher of Matsarya, jealousy

Shakti-Ganesha, Kunna, Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh State Museum, 10th century.
 Mahodara (big belly) is Lord of Moha, infatuation;
Twenty-Armed Dancing God Ganesh
 Gajanana (elephant face) conquers Lobha, greed;

ca. second half of the 9th century
 Lambodara (corpulent belly) overcomes Krodha, anger;

Vikata (deformed) conquers Kama, lust;

The Gupta family holds a 'Bhakti Sandhya' every 15 days, which is open to all devotees free of cost.

It is a religious gathering at Radhe Maa Bhavan, organised to worship Maa Jagdambe. Load Shiva and other deities are honored with prayers and bhajans. It involves ritual worship (puja), bhajan (singing of devotional hymns), prasad (grace in the form of a gift from Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa) and langer (communal meal) followed by darshan of Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa.

All are welcome to attend Next Bhakti Sandhya and to take divine darshan of Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa, which is on October 6, 2012 from 8pm onwards (IST). For more details call on +91 982 096 9020
